Genevieve and Chuck celebrated their elegant black & white wedding at the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. Vizcaya is one of South Florida's most luxurious and unique estate wedding venues. This historic landmark of a venue is breathtaking and offers a unique combination of the native natural beauty, along with historic architecture and Bayfront water views. Vizcaya Museum & Gardens is a former villa that was built in the early 1900's and is located on Biscayne Bay in the Coconut Grove area of Miami, Florida. This waterfront estate includes extensive landscape, magical gardens, and architecture that were all heavily influenced by Italian renaissance and designed with Mediterranean and Baroque style elements. Vizcaya really is fairytale mansion that provides a jaw-dropping setting for any celebration. It truly is one of a kind!
Vizcaya offers a multitude of different spaces available to rent out for your wedding day. From the incredible inner courtyards to the outsides terraces and picturesque gardens, you are sure to find the perfect spot to celebrate your big day. The estate can also accommodate up to 300 guests.
We kicked off our day in the lovely home of the bride's parents. Our bride, Genevieve got ready alongside her bridesmaids and her cute long-haired Dalmatian, Ozzy (who perfectly matched with the black and white theme of the wedding). Genevieve looked stunning in her wedding gown from Merlili Bridal Boutique. Our groom, Chuck, was getting ready over at the The Mondrian South Beach alongside his closest friends. After getting ready everyone made their way over to Vizcaya for the couple's first looks and wedding party photos. Our beautiful bride made her way down the steps of the casino garden mounds to find her soon-to-be husband waiting for her. It was such a special moment that our wonderful GTP associate team got to capture!
Their outdoor ceremony welcomed Genevieve and Chucks guests through Vizcaya Museum and Gardens splendid gardens and eventually made their way to the garden mounds with the monument as the background. The space was decorated with minimal elements like candles, rose pedals and a baby's breath arch letting the large oak trees and historic architecture speak for itself.
Following the ceremony, their reception took place over at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens's east terrace overlooking the Biscayne Bay and the Barge. The reception decor matched the ceremony's theme of candles, white roses and baby's breath. Before getting the party started our bride went to get changed into a short trendy reception dress and even had her new husband help chop her hair off for a fun fresh look! The opted for some editorial style direct flash photos in their reception look, then we got to watch the newlyweds dance the night away with all of their closest family and friends.
